We are looking forward to another fun-filled week of activities, crafts, and history at our 16^th annual Time Travelers Club Camp! Registration for this year has closed. Thanks to your interest, we were able to fill all 32 available spots! Should any cancellations occur, we will fill any openings from our waiting list. If you would like to add your name to the waiting list, please email our Educator at Amelia@thomascountyhistory.org with your name and phone number or call the Museum at 229-226-7664.

Attention Time Travelers, 2013 Camp Registration is Open!

The Thomas County Museum of History announces Time Travelers Club Camp 2013 this June 3^rd-June 7^th.The Time Travelers Club is for rising third through sixth graders. Priority registration is now open to members of the Thomas County Historical Society and will continue through Friday, May 3^rd. Registration for non-members will begin immediately following. Space is limited so register early!

Fees: $75 for Members, $100 for Non-Members*

*Fees include a Time Traveler’s Club T-shirt, snacks, beverages, and all craft supplies.

Members: Mail full payment and registration form to Thomas County Historical Society, P.O. Box 1922, Thomasville, G.A. 31799. To qualify for the reduced membership rate of $75, your membership must be current through 12/31/2013. If you are unsure of your current membership status, please call the Museum at 229-226-7664.

Non-members: Don’t want to wait? Reserve your spot now by becoming a member of the Historical Society! Join now to qualify for the reduced registration fee. The registration fee for non-members is $100. To register, stop by the Museum at 725 N. Dawson St. starting Monday May 6^th.

Book Preview Party

Please join us at the Museum of History on Sunday, April 14th at 3PM for a preview of the new Thomas County Historical Society – Landmarks, Inc. book to be published later this year.

The author, William R. Mitchell, and photographers Van Jones Martin and James R. Lockhart will be in attendance.

Come and enjoy refreshments with the Historical Society and Landmarks! The event is free and open to the public.

Southern Collectors BIG and small

Please join the Lapham-Patterson House and the Thomasville Center for the Arts for “Southern Collectors BIG and Small,” an exhibition of large and small collections to be exhibited at the Lapham-Patterson House and the Thomasville Center for the Arts. Large collections will be on display at the Center, and small collections will be on display at the Lapham-Patterson House.

The exhibition opens with a coffee and dessert reception Sunday, April 21st from 2-5PM at both locations. The opening event is free and open to the public.

Southern Collectors BIG and small will run through May 21st at both locations. Please visit the Lapham-Patterson House page and the Thomasville Center for the Arts website for regular hours of operation.
